Greater Texas Credit Union has partnered with the TEXAS YES Project to provide Little Lockers at elementary schools in the Manor Independent School District.
Little Lockers are stocked with new books and activities that children can access anytime. The brightly colored blue waterproof cabinets were installed outside of Oak Meadows, Presidential Meadows, and Blake Manor Elementary schools to make their contents accessible to children and the community year-round.

The Westerly Hospital Foundation has received a $200,000 donation from Westerly Community Credit Union to support the hospital’s 100th anniversary Centennial Campaign which will allow the hospital to provide additional services and improve the patient experience. GCS employees joined together to raise $1,130.00 in the month of February to benefit the Junior Service Club of Edwardsville/Glen Carbon. The Smile for Jeans Program is funded by GCS employees who make monthly, monetary donations out of their own pockets to a local organization. By donating $15 or more to a specific organization, GCS employees are able to wear jeans and tennis shoes on Fridays and Saturdays during that month.

Inspired by employee Blaise Kubesch’s desire to honor her late father-in-law who died from brain cancer, Greater Texas Credit Union has donated $1,800 to Wigs for Kids.

The RCU Foundation made a $30,000 gift to the Friends of the Ellsworth Public Library. The funds from this campaign were used to move the Ellsworth Library to its new larger home in downtown Ellsworth. The newly re-located and renovated library is four times larger than the old library. Greater Texas|Aggieland Credit Union donated nearly $200,000 to charities in Central Texas, the Brazos Valley and other service areas of Texas last year. The donations were part of the credit union’s Greater Good campaign, a corporate-wide initiative to increase community service and engagement.
