Marysville, KS - November 17, 2020 - Starting in November of 2019, Sunflower Community Credit Union started a grant program for teachers called "Debit for a Difference." To qualify for this grant, applicants had to be a teacher currently teaching in the credit union's charter area.

Over the past year, the credit union has awarded $5,653.34 to area teachers! The grants have been used to purchase chrome books, a  Yogibo bean bag, parts for two robotics teams, supplies for a hydroponics unit, and even helped a first year teacher build her classroom library for her students, and much more.

Each quarter, the credit union is receiving more applications - especially during these trying times with COVID-19. Sunflower Credit Union can’t wait to see what these grants help area teachers accomplish in the coming years!
