Glendale, CA (December 7, 2020) –– Los Angeles Federal Credit Union (LAFCU) raised $12,000 in donations for Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) during September. The funds were raised from online contributions, in-person branch donations, and from a raffle of CHLA-themed backpacks for LAFCU staff and their families. For every dollar raised LAFCU also matched up to $5,000 for CHLA through LAFCU’s charity, the Los Angeles Charitable Association. One hundred percent of donations will go to support CHLA’s “COVID-19 Emergency Response Fund.”
This fund will help pay for:
• 5,000 daily health screenings for patients, families, guests, & team members at CHLA.
• COVID-19 tests for all inpatients & patients undergoing procedures.
• TeleHealth resources & Artificial Intelligence health screening bots.
• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) & Sanitation Supplies for team members.
