Black Hills FCU Supports Local Cancer Center

Rapid City, SD - For the 15th consecutive year, Black Hills Federal Credit Union proudly took part in the “Tough Enough to Wear Pink” project with a donation of $2,300 comprised of t-shirt sales and funds from an employee Jeans Day.

This year’s donation benefits the expansion of the John T. Vucurevich Cancer Institute in Rapid City. BHFCU staff wore their Tough Enough to Wear Pink t-shirts in a show of support for the project, knowing it will touch the lives of those in the region for decades to come.

“We are pleased to support the Tough Enough to Wear Pick Project,” said Carol Brown, vice president of marketing and business development. “Whether it’s having a personal connection to cancer or wanting to support cutting-edge technology and treatment in our home region, we all take pride in contributing to the care provided by the John T. Vucurevich Cancer Institute.”

BHFCU supports community needs through corporate contributions, employee fundraisers and Jeans Day donations, and contributions from members, staff, and community supporters to the Black Hills FCU Charitable Fund, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

Established in Rapid City in 1941, Black Hills Federal Credit Union is a member-owned, not-forprofit, financial cooperative serving more than 80,000 members. The community-chartered credit union has locations in Rapid City, Custer, Eagle Butte, Hot Springs, Pierre, Sioux Falls, Spearfish, Sturgis, and Wall, South Dakota.
