San Diego County CU Sponsors Festival of Science and Engineering

SAN DIEGO, Calif., (April 14, 2021)--San Diego County Credit Union® (SDCCU®), one of Southern California’s largest locally-owned financial institutions, is proud to sponsor the 2021 Biocom Institute San Diego Festival of Science and Engineering, a ten-day educational experience to engage kids and families in all that encompasses STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art and math). This year will be a special virtual experience including a live stage with streaming events, a variety of pre-recorded sessions, an exhibit booth space and special events including Women in STEM, a COVID-19 panel in partnership with Live Well San Diego and a teacher networking event.                                                                                               

The free virtual festival is open to the public, and kicks off April 24 and continues through May 2. Several businesses and organizations will participate in the festival, providing fun, interactive activities for kids. SDCCU will host two webinars on SDCCU’s Biz Kid$ program. SDCCU will present Biz Kid$, Episode 405, Crash Course on Starting a Business, Entrepreneurship for kids and teens and a Biz Kid$ Teacher Training Webinar exclusively for educators.

The 2021 Virtual San Diego Festival of Science & Engineering will have a live main stage with performances on Tuesday, April 27th and Wednesday, April 28th from 10am-6pm.  The week will also include a series of live virtual events along with over 100 pre-recorded sessions and workshops for engagement and learning for the entire family!
