Utah - April 15, 2021 - When looking to rebuild a better life, many single parents and families need help beyond government assistance. Utah Girls Love You (UGLY) bridges the gap, providing everyday essentials and life skill training to help community members achieve independence and recognize their full potential. UGLY’s Closet thrift store located in Pleasant Grove helps provide funding for UGLY’s initiatives and allows community members in need to shop for clothing, household items and other essentials at no cost.
 
Mountain America Credit Union and the Utah Jazz are pleased to announce Utah Girls Love You as the 40th recipient of the “Pass it Along” program. Since its inception in 2013, the fan-nominated program has awarded $200,000 to nonprofit organizations making a difference throughout Utah.
 
In 2020, more than 200 community members submitted a Pass it Along nomination. Each season, five charities are selected for a $5,000 donation and in-arena, broadcast and social media exposure. The Credit Union National Association (CUNA) recently recognized the program's unique design and impact by awarding Mountain America with a CUNA Marketing and Business Development Council Diamond Award for the multifaceted category.
