Lake Mary, Fla. (January 24, 2022) – For Addition Financial, the year is off to a running start, as the credit union launches its partnership with UCF Track and Field athlete, Rayniah Jones. This endorsement, which is part of the new Name Image and Likeness (NIL) laws, will run through July 2022.

Our goal is to help college students overcome financial hurdles, and by partnering with Rayniah, we can create an even greater impact on the UCF community,” said Katie Thomason, Vice President of Community Engagement and Partnerships. “Rayniah is a student-athlete dedicated to excellence on and off the track, and we can’t wait to work with her in the months to come.”
This brand partnership with Rayniah Jones will mark Addition Financial’s second student-athlete partnership since the NIL laws first passed in 2021. During the 2021 football season, the credit union worked with former UCF quarterback Dillon Gabriel. Through these NIL endorsements, student-athletes have the opportunity to enhance their personal brands while participating in the sport they love.
“I partnered with Addition Financial because I think it’s important for college students to start learning about managing their finances responsibly. Through this partnership, I’m most excited to shed light on financial literacy for other students and help them learn these habits from a young age,” said Jones.
Jones is currently a junior on the UCF Track and Field team with an outstanding collegiate record. The First Team All-American athlete notably qualified for the U.S. Olympic Team Trials in 2021 with her school record mark and advanced to the 100H semifinals, where she finished 10th overall.
In 2013, Addition Financial became the official financial institution of the UCF Knights and secured the naming rights to the Addition Financial Arena on campus. Since that time, the credit union has partnered with UCF Athletics to provide scholarships, financial education workshops and other sponsorship support. In 2015, Addition Financial launched an affinity debit card program with UCF Athletics, offering two co-branded debit card designs.
