Town & Country CU Awards $10,000 in Scholarships to Local Students

(Minot, ND - May 4, 2022) Town & Country Credit Union is pleased to announce the presentation of $1,000 scholarships to ten students in the communities the credit union serves. This marks the first year of the credit union’s scholarship program.

“Our credit union has always been focused on youth. We provide kids with special accounts that have perks like annual deposit matches and free family events held throughout the year. We also invest in projects that improve the quality of life for kids within the communities we serve,” commented Kalli Schell, Interim President/CEO. “Adding a scholarship program is one more way we can positively impact our youngest members.”

To apply, high school seniors were asked to submit an essay answering the question: How do you plan to make a positive impact in your desired career field? Submissions were reviewed and scored by a panel of Town & Country Credit Union employees. Scholarship winners were notified in April by the Credit Union’s Interim President/CEO, Kalli Schell.

“We’re extremely excited to recognize our ten inaugural scholarship recipients and look forward to supporting these members as they work towards making a positive impact in their desired career fields,” said Schell.
