Credit Union ONE Walks for Warmth and Helped Raise $45,000 for Those in Need

Ferndale, Michigan – A team of Credit Union ONE employees and family members participated in the 32nd annual Walk for Warmth, benefiting the Oakland Livingston Human Services Agency ( OLHSA ), hosted at Canterbury Village in Orion Twp on Saturday April 30th, 2022.

The Walk For Warmth is an annual fundraising event to promote awareness and provide support to those facing heat related emergencies in Oakland and Livingston counties through the emergency utility assistance program. Those helped in 2021 included Children, Seniors, and the Disabled. All different people from all areas of the Counties are supported by this walk. In total, over 650 people were helped in 2021 with heat and safety issues.

Credit Union ONE participated as a silver  sponsor along with a team of walkers for the 15th year in a row. The event seems to grow each year as the participation level of walkers and sponsors continues to increase. This year over 275 people participated, while helping to raise over $45,000 dollars for the community and those in need.  Entertainment is provided, and the stores also pass out coupons to those in attendance.
