Hanscom FCU Awards Scholarships to Seven Local Students

Littleton, MA (May 23, 2022) – Hanscom Federal Credit Union awarded seven high school students with scholarships. Five credit union members and two students from local US Air Force Junior ROTC units each received $1,500 to assist with college expenses. The scholarship recipients were announced at the credit union’s 68th Annual Meeting on May 4, 2022.

“We look forward to reading about all of the Condon Scholarship applicants each year,” said Lawrence Rzepecki, Hanscom FCU Board Member and chairman of the Condon Scholarship committee. “These seven students exemplify the best parts of our community, with impressive skills and achievements that they all should be proud of. It is obvious that they all have bright futures ahead of them. We hope that easing some of their educational burden allows them more room to grow, both personally and professionally.”

The year’s member recipients are Alexander Arnell of Waltham, MA; Emily Fahey of Braintree, MA; Ferris Milinazzo of Wakefield, MA; Julia Norcross of Beverly, MA; and Max Reinhardt of Sudbury, MA. The top graduates of the Lowell High School and Bedford/Billerica High School Air Force JROTC programs, Cadet Wing Commander Natalia Flores and Cadet 2nd Lieutenant Rachel McDonald, respectively, each also received scholarships.

The John F. Condon Scholarship is named after a former Hanscom FCU board member who made a significant contribution to the credit union’s success during his 26 years of volunteerism. The award is based on academic record, extracurricular activities, and an essay.
