Ferndale, Michigan – A Credit Union ONE Team of over 25 walkers participated at the Beaumont Children’s Miracle Network eighth annual Walk for Miracles at the Detroit Zoo on Saturday June 11th. Credit Union ONE for the eighth consecutive year was also a sponsor, this year a $2,500 Hero Sponsor for the day. In total over $3,000 was donated from the team and the Credit Union.
Over 2,500 walkers with numerous pledges and corporate sponsors enjoyed the brisk morning and numerous other activities taking place during the morning. The 8:30am walk started on time with the goal of raising money for a very worthy cause, and for all of the participants to enjoy their morning at the zoo. The walk for Miracles raised over $84,000 for Beaumont Children’s. Over 50 adult volunteers worked the various tables, along with 62 Royal Oak High School Student Volunteers.
