Day Air Credit Union Awards $3,000 in Scholarships to Area Students

Kettering, Ohio, July 7, 2022 – Day Air Credit Union is pleased to announce that Emma Pearn, Charlotte Ruble, and Shelby Tuvell are the recipients of Day Air’s 2022 Academic Scholarships. The Day Air Academic Scholarships are awarded annually to local students who demonstrate academic achievement and community involvement.

Emma Pearn, currently attending the University of Dayton, is pursuing a double major in Communications and Political Science with a focus on Healthcare Administration. Emma currently maintains a 4.0 GPA and plans to graduate in May 2024. During her free time, Emma volunteers at the Miami Valley Women’s Center and is a member of OTSE (Ohioans to Stop Executions) Club.

Charlotte Ruble, 2022 Carroll High School graduate, will be attending Bowling Green University where she will be pursuing a degree in Intervention Specialist Education. Charlotte made the honor roll all four years at Carroll High School and was a member of the National Honor Society. In addition, Charlotte played Varsity Women’s Basketball and Varsity Women’s Golf Team and also participated in numerous volunteer opportunities.

Shelby Tuvell, currently attending Sinclair Community College, is pursuing a degree in Business Administration. As a 2021 graduate from Dixie High School, Shelby maintained good grades and perfect attendance during her high school career. In her free time, Shelby volunteers for the Girl Scouts and numerous activities with her church.

“Every year we are more amazed by the applications of these young scholars in our community,” said Jannell Eichstaedt, Senior Vice President of Member Services and Chief Experience Officer at Day Air. “We strongly believe in the potential these young adults hold and wish them the very best during their educational journey.”
