Anchorage, Alaska – Meeting friends on the fairway and supporting Beacon Hill and Operation Homefront was the goal of more than 120 golfers as they participated in the annual Alaska USA Foundation Fairway Friends Golf Tournament on July 14 at Moose Run Golf Course. The tournament brought business partners, credit union leaders and the community together to support these organizations.

“The Alaska USA Foundation is committed to supporting needs-based organizations like Beacon Hill and Operation Homefront. We are so thankful that our business partners and community were eager to sponsor the Foundation golf tournament and support these amazing organizations and the critical work they are doing,” said Geoff Lundfelt, president of the Alaska USA Foundation.  

The golf tournament raised $130,000 with $65,000 going to Beacon Hill’s mission of serving Alaska’s vulnerable children in foster care or at risk of going into foster care and $65,000 to support Operation Homefront’s mission of building strong, stable and secure military families so they can thrive in the communities they have worked so hard to protect.

The Alaska USA Foundation Fairway Friends Golf Tournament is an annual Foundation event, providing the opportunity for Foundation nonprofit partners to benefit from this fun fundraiser.
