Lake Mary, Fla. (August 15, 2022) – Just in time for fall semester, Addition Financial has debuted four new college-branded debit cards that allow members to show off their school pride.

Founded by Orange County teachers in 1937, Addition Financial has maintained strong ties to the local school districts and colleges in Central Florida. As the Official Financial Institution of the UCF Knights, the credit union first began offering UCF Knights debit cards in 2016. Every time the card is swiped, Addition Financial makes a donation to UCF Athletics. Since the program’s launch, the cards have generated more than $990,000 in donations. The new card designs will feature an updated Knightro logo and a more retro Citronaut card.

The new suite of cards also includes a redesigned Seminole State College debit card, featuring Rally the Raider, and a Valencia College debit card that features the school’s brand new puma mascot. Addition Financial was named the Preferred Credit Union of Seminole State College in 2015, and later became the Preferred Credit Union of Valencia College in 2018.

Through these relationships, Addition Financial aims to promote financial education efforts among college students, faculty and staff members. The credit union also partners with these institutions to provide scholarships, offer on-campus services, and provide support to other programs.
