The Westerly Hospital Foundation has received a $200,000 donation from Westerly Community Credit Union to support the hospital’s 100th anniversary Centennial Campaign which will allow the hospital to provide additional services and improve the patient experience. The hospital will celebrate its 100th anniversary in 2025.
The donation is part of Westerly Community Credit Union’s #WCCUCares initiative to support local community organizations that directly help people in the communities they serve. The credit union has been among the hospital’s most loyal strategic philanthropic partners for more than 30 years.

Green, president and CEO of Westerly Hospital. “This gift will support the hospital as we look to make significant upgrades at Westerly Hospital, including a redesign of the Emergency Department, creating state-of-the-art imaging technology and facilities, additional growth and development of surgery services available at the hospital, relocation and expansion of the cafeteria and a re-envisioned courtyard that is readily accessible to patients, families and employees.”
