Food Drive with Shred Day

CITY & COUNTY CREDIT UNION HOSTS SHRED DAY & DONATES 3,428 POUNDS OF FOOD

In order to help the community shred their unwanted sensitive documents, City & County Credit Union hosted a Shred Day event at the Maplewood and Minnetonka Branches on Saturday, May 20, 2023. Members were encouraged to donate non-perishable food items for two local food pantries in our community in exchange for free secure shredding.

400+ members attended the Shred Day event to securely shred their sensitive documents. In addition to providing the document shredding, City & County Credit Union was proudly able to donate in total 3,428 pounds of food and $279 in cash to the Minnetonka ICA Food Shelf and the North Saint Paul Food Shelf with the help from the generous donations from members and the community.

“It has always been important for us to give back to our community,” Bailey Germain VP of Marketing explained, “And by doing it in more ways than one is a win in our books, especially when we all come together to maximize the difference made.”
