(Indianapolis, IN)  Indiana Members Credit Union (IMCU), Central Indiana’s largest credit union, was recently awarded $5,000 as part of the second annual Love My Credit Union® Campaign. The campaign is a video contest hosted by CU Solutions Group and the Credit Union National Association.  The campaign invited credit unions nationwide to create a video that showcases the good work they do in their community for a chance to win thousands of dollars for the charities of their choosing.  More than 100 videos were submitted and over 317,000 public votes were cast nationwide, and IMCU was one of four credit unions in the month of November who received the most public votes to win a $5,000 donation.  IMCU has named Indiana Members Foundation as the recipient. 

IMCU has designated Indiana Members Foundation as the recipient of the funds to help provide school supplies to underserved children and to assist in funding the new Robert E. Martin Collegiate Scholarship Program and Joan Wolfe Legacy Grants. Mandy Emery, vice president of community involvement for IMCU and executive director of Indiana Members Foundation stated, “The Love My Credit Union® Campaign was a great way to share all of the hard work, dedication and love that Indiana Members Credit Union gives back to the communities that we serve.  We were able to share our message as well as see the incredible projects that our peers do across the country which strengthen the credit union message of ‘People Helping People’.  Winning the $5,000 for Indiana Members Foundation will allow us to do even more for the children in the communities we serve.  We can’t thank CU Solutions Group enough for such a great campaign and generous donation.”
