Dakota Credit Unions Help Raise $20,500 for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals

Credit unions helped support the Sanford Children’s Hospital (Fargo, ND) third annual Radiothon in Bismarck, ND on March 30 & 31. The two-day fundraiser was held in the local Kirkwood Mall with a live broadcast on FM radio station KQ94.5. The broadcast featured real stories from kids who have been helped in life-changing ways by the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.

Local credit unions, including Capital CU and First Community CU both sent staff to help “man the phones” on Thursday, March 30. The photo below left shows staff from First Community Credit Union’s Bismarck offices, including Randi Malsam, Nicolas Felipe Wester, and Melissa Johannes.

CUAD Staff was on location early on Friday morning from 8:30 AM until 10:30 AM. Shown in the photo below right are Katie Dressler, Karla Clark, George McDonald, and Corey Prince, who took in $1,000 in pledges in two hours! In total, the event helped raise over $20,500 for the kids!
