Daleville, Ala. (July 27, 2017) — Army Aviation Center Federal Credit Union (AACFCU) is proud to announce the winners of its 2017 Jim H. Mitchell Scholarship. Scholarship winners competed against applicants from AACFCU’s service areas of Southeast Alabama, Florida’s Emerald Coast and the Mobile Bay Area and scored as the top eleven candidates. Applicants were judged on academic achievement, extra-curricular activities and essay responses.

“We were extremely impressed with the high caliber of students that applied,” said Lisa Hales, AACFCU vice president of marketing. “We are very proud to help these students further their education.”

Hanna Anderson, Chancellor, Ala.:  Graduate of Samson High School attending Troy University

Meagan Bonin, Ozark, Ala.: Graduate of Ariton High School attending Troy University

Haven Dates, Goshen, Ala.: Graduate of Goshen High School attending Troy University

Calypso Farrell, Dothan, Ala.: Graduate of Northview High School attending University of North Alabama   

Austin Hayes, Dothan, Ala.: Graduate of Rehobeth High School attending Troy University

Lizbeth Soto Jacome, Enterprise, Ala.: Graduate of Enterprise High School attending University of South Alabama

Hadyn Jones, Dothan, Ala.: Graduate of Houston Academy attending University of Alabama
