NORTH HAVEN, Conn (Aug. 14, 2017) - Connex Credit Union recently donated more than $1,200 dollars to Girls Lead, Inc. in support of scholarships for its members pursuing higher education. These funds were raised through Coins-for-Change, Connex’s philanthropic program which contributes more than $13,000 annually to local charitable organizations as part of its ConnexCares initiative. Bridgeport-based Girls Lead, Inc., provides students with the experience, knowledge and leadership skills necessary for a successful career. This non-profit organization administers workshops designed to help participants become effective leaders and explore various career paths.
