PLYMOUTH, Minn. (March 13, 2018) − TruStone Financial Federal Credit Union employees recently raised $724 for Gillette Children’s Specialty Healthcare. The TruStone Financial Foundation matched these funds dollar-for-dollar for a total donation of $1,448 to support children with complex, rare and traumatic conditions.
Both TruStone Financial employees and the TruStone Financial Foundation team up monthly for a company-wide Charity Casual Day. On designated Fridays employees can wear jeans in exchange for a charitable contribution to that month’s cause. In 2017 alone TruStone Financial employees and the TruStone Financial Foundation raised nearly $25,000 for local organizations.

Gillette Children’s Specialty Healthcare concentrates on pediatric medicine for young patients often suffering from permanent conditions that will require lifelong care, such as cerebral palsy, epilepsy and spina bifida. Through their focus on providing innovative medical and surgical intervention, therapy and assistive technology they hope to help their patients live happy, healthy and productive lives.

TruStone Financial Senior Vice President, Director of Marketing and Communications, Katie Grindeland, nominated the impactful organization for March’s Charity Casual Day. “For the last decade, Gillette Children’s Specialty Healthcare has been an important organization in my life. Their strides in pediatric medicine have been remarkable,” shared Grindeland. “As a mother of two young children, I am thankful we have healthcare from Gillette Children’s that’s held in such high regard in Minnesota. I enjoy being able to see our credit union’s contributions in action at clinics throughout the state. My colleagues’ contributions will help Gillette Children’s Specialty Healthcare continue to be a leading pediatric organization.”
