Alaska USA Foundation Gives $33,000 to Support Military and Youth Programs

Anchorage, Alaska – Alaska USA Foundation has donated $33,000 among five community service programs.

$10,000 was donated to Stand Down, Inc. to help in-need and homeless veterans access vital medical, dental, mental health, and substance abuse services.

$10,000 was donated to Greater Hope Foundation in support of programs that fulfill the physical, intellectual, emotional, and social needs of the abused, neglected, and troubled youth in Southern California.

$5,000 was donated to Camp Fire Alaska in support of youth development programs that service more than 5,000 youth annually in the state of Alaska.

$5,000 was donated to Lydia Place to support of programs aimed at ending homelessness in Whatcom County in Washington.

$3,000 was donated to Kid’s Corp, Inc. in support of high quality, comprehensive education programs for children and families, which promote sound intellectual, physical, social and emotional growth.

“Alaska USA Foundation believes deeply in supporting non-profits with a solid track-record of helping those in need,” said Dan McCue, Executive Director, Alaska USA Foundation. “By supporting these community service specialists, we hope to reach groups of people that might otherwise be overlooked.”
