(SAN ANTONIO, TX – JULY 20, 2018)–– Security Service Charitable Foundation has presented $5,000 to the Warriors Heart Foundation, a 501(c)(3) dedicated to healing warriors from substance abuse and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

Committed to providing a private healing environment, Warriors Heart opened the nation’s only dedicated, fully licensed and accredited, private treatment center for warriors only, which includes veterans, military, law enforcement and first responders. Located on a private 543-acre ranch just outside San Antonio, Texas, Warriors Heart provides a comforting space designed for healing and activities that offer positive experiences to help lead the way to a successful recovery.

“We are so grateful to Security Service for helping us to create a community of healing for those who have sacrificed so much to keep our communities safe,” said Josh Lannon, founder and president for Warriors Heart. “We want to make certain warriors have a place to go where they can heal with dignity and respect.”

“Security Service has an unwavering commitment to helping our veterans,” said Brandy Ralston-Lint, senior vice president of corporate communications for Security Service Federal Credit Union. “Our donation to the Warriors Heart Foundation will supplement the costs incurred during the healing process, so more veterans will be able to heal with dignity and respect without having to worry about insurance or private funding.”

To date, Warriors Heart has treated 350 warriors, and over 80 dogs have been rescued, trained, and placed with the warriors for ongoing emotional support.

The Security Service Charitable Foundation helps further Security Service Federal Credit Union’s corporate goal of community service by contributing to deserving organizations and causes in the credit union’s market areas.
