Aberdeen FCU Awarding $2,600 in Prizes at Rising Star Competition

Aberdeen, SD – Aberdeen Federal Credit Union has announced the 17 finalists that will compete for cash prizes totaling $2,600 on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at the Brown County Fair. The 2018 Rising Star Finalists are:

Youth Division:

  • Carter Van Steenwyk - Aberdeen

  • Charlotte Hemke - Aberdeen

  • Ella Huettl - Aberdeen

  • Kyanne Galbraith - Aberdeen

  • Maddie Latterell - Aberdeen

  • Olivia Dix - Aberdeen

Adult Division:

  • Audree Berreth – Leola

  • Brennen Borah & Shelby Reid - Aberdeen

  • Christine Herr - Aberdeen

  • Dillon Swanson – Oakes, ND

  • Emerson Keeley – Aberdeen

  • Lindsey Dosch – Aberdeen

  • Madelyn Kuntz - Aberdeen

  • Mattie Zerr - Aberdeen

  • Sam Pharris – Aberdeen

  • Saraya Bronson - Wilmot

  • Taylor Wall - Aberdeen

These finalists will perform under the Kessler’s Big Top Tent from 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Wednesday, August 15th at the Brown County Fair. Monetary prizes awarded will be $1,000 for 1st place, $750 for 2nd place, $500 for 3rd place and in the Youth Division $250 for 1st place and $100 for 2nd place. The first 300 people in attendance on Wednesday, August 15th will receive a prize from Aberdeen Federal Credit Union. This is the sixth year the Brown County Fair and Aberdeen Federal Credit Union have partnered to bring a free family friendly event to Brown County’s biggest summer event!
