TruStone Financial Employees Give Back to Local Communities for CU Forward Day

TruStone Financial Federal Credit Union - PLYMOUTH, Minn. (October 12, 2018) - On Monday, October 8, TruStone Financial Federal Credit Union and TruStone Home Mortgage joined 48 other Minnesota credit unions in giving back to their communities for CU Forward Day. CU Forward Day is a Minnesota Credit Union Network (MnCUN) initiative to “spread kindness throughout Minnesota communities.”

On a day the credit union is closed for a federal holiday, employees gave back to charities of their choice. Altogether, 304 TruStone employees volunteered more than 1,216 hours of service to 18 different organizations and communities throughout Minnesota and Wisconsin. A few of the organizations supported include Junior Achievement, Feed My Starving Children and Prism Food Shelf.

“Our focus has always been on serving our members and our communities,” says TruStone Financial CEO Tim Bosiacki. “However, dedicating an entire day to service allowed us to focus our efforts and deliver a larger impact in the communities we call home.”

TruStone Financial’s Director of Minnesota Branches, Lisamarie Meyer, says, “CU Forward Day is an important day to us because it’s the time we can show our communities that we are here to build good partnerships. It’s also a time to reflect on the importance of being a good neighbor in our communities.”

More than 60 communities across Minnesota and 335,000 people are impacted by CU Forward Day. To learn more about CU Forward Day’s impact in Minnesota, visit www.mncun.org.
