(Warminster, PA – January 7, 2019) Freedom Credit Union celebrated the season of giving with an annual gift drive and a contribution to a local food pantry.

Freedom employees participated in the Salvation Army Adopt-an-Angel program, which provides new clothing, toys and gifts for children. Each child was represented by a gift tag that included basic information - their first name, age, gender, and a gift wish. Freedom employees purchased gifts for children based on the information on the tag. Gifts were collected at the Operations Center and all of the branch locations.

Freedom Credit Union also came together and voted on two charities to donate to. This year the charity that was chosen were the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and PA SPCA. Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia is inspired by childhood and fueled by charitable donations and PA SPCA are committed to giving abused animals second chances with the help of donations so we found them to be amazing causes to send money to.

Freedom Credit Union also hosted Pictures with Santa two Saturdays in December nearing Christmas. Members and their families came to visit with Mr. and Mrs. Claus at the Warminster and Drummond Road Branch locations. This is a holiday tradition that members and their families can enjoy while visiting their local branches. In honor of Santa’s visits, Freedom donated $1,500 to the food pantry at St. John’s Lutheran Church.
