Trustone Financial Employees Raise Over $1,000 for Women and Children's Horizons

PLYMOUTH, Minn. (January 3, 2019) - TruStone Financial Federal Credit Union’s Wisconsin employees recently raised $1,115 for Kenosha nonprofit Women and Children’s Horizons. The credit union’s Wisconsin branches teamed up to create themed gift baskets that they raffled off at their holiday party, donating proceeds to the local nonprofit.

Women and Children's Horizons provides support to victims of sexual and domestic abuse and their families. "We are so grateful for this donation from TruStone Financial," says Executive Director Diana Newton. "Women and Children's Horizons relies on community support to provide shelter, food and services to survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. We have a full shelter now, and this [help] is so very needed."

Kacie Osten, Vice President and Director of Wisconsin Branches at TruStone Financial, speaks highly of the nonprofit and its involvement in Kenosha. ”There is no better nonprofit we could think of to receive our gift basket raffle proceeds during the holiday season,” she said. “Thank you to Diana and her staff for their commitment to providing for those in need of shelter and necessities. The employees of TruStone Financial Federal Credit Union appreciate all that Women and Children's Horizons does for our community.”

TruStone Financial employees look forward to giving back to their communities in 2019.
