Indiana Members CU Announces 2019 Cancer Awareness Card Beneficiary

Indianapolis, IN, April, 2019)  Indiana Members Credit Union (IMCU), Central Indiana’s largest credit union, is pleased to announce Cancer Support Community Central Indiana as the new beneficiary for its Cancer Awareness Debit Card.  The IMCU Cancer Awareness Debit Card provides an opportunity to support many different types of cancer by benefiting a different local cancer related organization each year.  A portion of each signature based transaction made with this card March 1, 2019 through February 29, 2020, up to $10,000, will be donated to Cancer Support Community Central Indiana and specifically their Men’s Health Services programming.  The more these cards are used, the more these important programs and services for men will benefit.

The card is available for issue to members at IMCU’s 27 Central Indiana locations.  The IMCU Cancer Awareness Debit Card is free to members with a free checking account and can be issued immediately via IMCU’s instant issue program, which allows members to receive their debit card on the spot.

Cancer Support Community Central Indiana is a direct service cancer services organization that specializes in providing free complementary support services to anyone impacted by cancer in central Indiana.  For 24 years, the organization has provided hundreds of thousands of hours of programs and services to patients and family members and served more than 6,000 unique women, men and children in 2018.  “We are thrilled to partner with Indiana Members Credit Union on this important project and are grateful they chose us as their new beneficiary,” said Eric Richards, Cancer Support Community Central Indiana President & CEO.  “Every dollar raised through the Cancer Awareness Debit Card will provide specific dollars to support our men’s health support services and we are grateful to all who participate.”

“IMCU is proud to support Cancer Support Community Central Indiana and their mission to ensure that no one faces cancer alone, specifically assisting with their Men’s Health Services programming, through the IMCU Cancer Awareness Debit Card,” said Ron Collier, president and CEO of IMCU.
