(Somerville, MA) In honor of Children’s Book Month, Naveo Credit Union is launching a book drive during the month of April at both its branches to benefit the Massachusetts Coalition for the Homeless and their A Bed for Every Child campaign. Over the past seven years, Naveo has collected nearly 2,000 books. Naveo hopes to collect a total of 200 books this year.

Each year, Naveo Credit Union participates in the annual, statewide book drive spearheaded by the Massachusetts division of the Cooperative Credit Union Association (CCUA). The Association collaborates with the Massachusetts Coalition for the Homeless to distribute the collected books. This year, the CCUA and the Coalition took a unique approach by distributing collected books to children who benefit from their A Bed for Every Child campaign, which provides a bed, mattress and warm bedding items for children who do not have a proper place to sleep at night.

Donation bins will be available at both branches though April 30. Naveo is accepting both new and gently used children’s book for all ages.
