MIDLAND, MICHIGAN, April 15, 2019 – For the fifth time, Dow Chemical Employees’ Credit Union has been recognized by the Credit Union National Association (CUNA) for ranking as one of the nation’s best credit unions in providing direct financial benefits to members.
DCECU received CUNA’s Benefits of Membership Award, also known as the Member Benefits Top Performance Award. The credit union was honored in the $1-billion-plus asset category.
CUNA compared DCECU’s rates, fees and account yields to those of competing banks, determining that each DCECU member household received an average direct financial benefit of $1,124 in 2018 compared to using the same services from competing banks. This dollar amount represents a more than 39% increase from DCECU’s previous-high award-winning $806 in average direct financial benefit to member households.
