Electro Savings CU Rewards Employees with Power of You Program

ST. LOUIS (May 9, 2019) – Electro Savings Credit Union recently implemented two more employee ideas through its nationally recognized Power of You Employee Engagement Program. Just as the program’s name indicates, the Power of You rewards credit union employees for positively impacting the credit union with their powerful ideas and insights.

Since the program’s inception in August 2018, credit union employees have submitted 25 Power of You ideas with four moving to implementation.  “The Power of You gives staff a formal program to submit process improvement ideas that they believe will have a positive impact on the credit union, and then rewards them with a share of the credit union’s monetary benefit,” explains Vice President of Human Resources Ashley Keegan.

“I am very proud of our Power of You program and excited to see more employee ideas,” says CEO Jim Struble. “Who better to improve the credit union than the people that are the backbone of the organization, our employees.”

The credit union’s senior managers present awards to Diane Powers for her idea to save on document storage costs (left), and Stephen Billo and Aaron Leggett for their idea to automate an internal process, which resulted in streamlining hours (right).

Electro Savings Credit Union received national recognition for its Power of You Employee Engagement Program at the 2019 CUNA HR & Organizational Development Council Awards.

Established in 1941 by the employees of Union Electric Company (now Ameren), Electro Savings Credit Union is a full-service, not-for-profit cooperative financial institution. In addition to its Maryland Heights, Wildwood, Manchester and South County offices, Electro Savings members may access their accounts online, in a mobile app, and at CO-OP ATMs and Shared Branches.
