Burlington, VT - NorthCountry Federal Credit Union supports Champlain Housing Trust’s Home Education and Financial Literacy Program which provides CHT’s customers the tools and knowledge they need to make financially prudent decisions to achieve housing and budgetary goals.

CHT serves Chittenden, Franklin and Grand Isle counties. Their Home Education and Financial Literacy Program assists people along every point of the housing continuum – from homelessness to affordable apartments, to helping people buy a home, and then keeping it. Most of their customers are New Americans.

CHT’s Home Education and Financial Literacy Program has several components, including: Homebuyer Education and Counseling, Post purchase workshops and webinars, Financial fitness and credit counseling, Home Preservation and Foreclosure prevention and On Track (eviction prevention).
