TCT FCU Honors Teacher of the Year!

QUEENSBURY NY— Every week during the school year, TCT Federal Credit Union honors local educators and school employees for their outstanding efforts. Out of the 40 weekly winners in the 2018-19 school year, one teacher has been selected Teacher of the Year. Congratulations to Ms. Stacy Cooper, 4th Grade Teacher at the North Warren Elementary School.

Ms. Cooper has been super supportive of a student whose father passed away shortly after finding out he had cancer. She has been so wonderful to him during this big life-change. She is there to listen to him when he is having a bad day, giving him a hug and she explained that she too lost her dad at a young age. She has gone out of her way to do something special to help brighten this student’s day. Ms. Cooper is a great role model to all of her students —she is kind, fair and always there to give them that extra push they need to be successful in school. Thanks to Ms. Stacy Cooper at the North Warren Elementary School for helping one of her students get through a tough time and being such a special teacher!

The Teacher of the Week is nominated by a fellow school community member to acknowledge their dedication to students and enthusiasm for learning. All school employees, including teachers, aids, assistants, administration staff, janitors, nurses, bus drivers, and more are eligible to receive the award. To nominate a special school employee, email why you feel he or she should be the teacher of the week in 100 words or less to teacher@adirondackbroadcasting.com.  View past Teachers of the Week at www.tctfcu.org/totw.

Nominations are kept on file throughout the school year and one recipient is selected each Monday morning and announced on-air with the Adirondack Broadcasting group of radio stations. The award includes gift certificates to local businesses; Davidson Brothers, Core Revolutionary Group Fitness Facility, Adirondack Winery, a commemorative plaque from Adirondack School Portraits, flowers from A Lasting Impression and TCT gift bag. Teacher of the Week is sponsored in part by TCT Federal Credit Union and Adirondack Broadcasting.
