PLYMOUTH, Minn. (Sept. 17, 2019) — In celebration of TruStone Financial Federal Credit Union’s 80th anniversary, each branch of the credit union is selecting a local charity to receive a $1,000 donation from the TruStone Financial Foundation. As part of this initiative, TruStone Financial’s St. Cloud branch recently selected Anna Marie’s Alliance to receive a donation from the Foundation.
Anna Marie's Alliance provides safe shelter, support and resources for victims of domestic abuse, and also works with the community to prevent violence through education. Since 1979, it has sheltered more than 16,000 women and their children.
“We are very pleased to present this donation to Anna Marie’s Alliance,” said Jonathan Teschendorf, manager of the TruStone Financial branch in St. Cloud. “It has been a strong force against domestic violence in the community for a very long time, providing safety and shelter to some of the most vulnerable people in our community.”
Charles Hempeck, Executive Director of Anna Marie’s Alliance, thanked TruStone Financial for the donation. “We cannot do the work we do with victims of domestic violence without the support of partners like TruStone Financial. Together we can create a community that is free from violence.”
