Somerville, MA - February 6, 2020 - Naveo Credit Union announced it would offer its annual Carlos Faria and Victor Da Silva Memorial Scholarship for the 2020-2021 academic year. Naveo is offering three scholarships of $1,500 each, an increase from previous years.

The scholarship is open to full-time students currently enrolled, accepted or awaiting acceptance to a college or university in an undergraduate or graduate program. To qualify, applicants or their parent/guardian must be or become a Naveo member by the submission deadline. Applicants are asked to complete an application, provide an official copy of their high school and/or college transcripts and write a 400-500-word essay on a change they’d like to make in the world, how they’d plan to implement the change and what potential obstacles they may run into.

Naveo is accepting complete scholarship applications through March 6, 2020. Naveo’s Scholarship Committee will anonymously score three recipients based on the quality of the essay and their financial need, scholastic merit as well as community and school involvement. The recipients will be awarded their scholarships at the Naveo Annual Meeting on April 2, 2020.
