Firefly Credit Union® Hosts Winter Blood Drive

BURNSVILLE, MN - February 7, 2020 – Firefly Credit Union partnered with Memorial Blood Centers (MBC) to host its quarterly blood drive on Wednesday, January 15, 2020.

According to Memorial Blood Centers’ website, 38% of the United States population is eligible to donate blood, yet only 7% do. A typical blood donation takes just ten minutes and will help to save lives within a matter of days. At this year’s winter blood drive, Firefly employees donated 14 total units of blood, which will help save up to 42 lives.

“Firefly is happy to help give back to the community, and we know that every unit of blood counts,” said Dale Turner, Firefly Credit Union President/CEO. “Memorial Blood Centers is a great organization to partner with, and we look forward to continuing to save lives through our partnership.”
