Sioux Falls FCU Awards Community Service Scholarships

Sioux Falls, SD - May 22, 2020:  Sioux Falls Federal Credit Union (SFFCU) announces their 2020 Community Service Scholarship Award Winners, Mattie Reesman and Alexandra Stallinga.

SFFCU awards two $1000 scholarships to eligible students who plan to attend, or are currently enrolled in, a post-high school educational institution and have demonstrated outstanding service to their community.  All entries were judged on a set of criteria to include financial need, academic achievement, service to the community, the letter of recommendation and the literary quality of the essay.

“Mattie and Alexandra both emulate dedication to their community, passion to their beliefs and causes, as well as dedication to their studies.  There is no doubt in my mind that these two individuals will succeed in all of their future pursuits,” stated Fran Sommerfeld, CEO/President of SFFCU.  “We are excited to award our 2020 Community Service Scholarships to both Mattie and Alexandra.  Good luck to you both.”

Mattie Reesman will be attending South Dakota State University and Alexandra Stallinga will be attending the University of South Dakota.

To apply for our 2021 Community Service Scholarship, download the application and review award criteria at www.siouxfallsfcu.org after February 1, 2021.
