Service Credit Union proudly concluded its first-ever Service Month, a dedicated month-long volunteer initiative that activated employees across the state in support of local nonprofits. In total, 110 employees contributed 350 hours of hands-on service to 12 nonprofit organizations throughout New Hampshire in June.

While Service Credit Union regularly supports community causes through financial donations, partnerships, and employee volunteerism, Service Month was created to provide focused and intentional opportunities for staff to engage with new causes and make a deeper impact.
Volunteer activities included delivering financial wellness workshops to local students, supporting veterans at the New Hampshire Veterans Home, assisting food distribution efforts at the New Hampshire Food Bank, GATHER and Feeding Hope Food Pantry, helping build a home with Southeast NH Habitat for Humanity, and more. Additional volunteer opportunities took place with the United Way of Greater Nashua, Squam Lake Science Center, and Grow Nashua.
“We’re incredibly proud of how our team showed up during Service Month,” said Jaime Yates, Assistant Vice President of Community Development at Service Credit Union. “Giving back is part of our DNA as a credit union, but this initiative allowed us to do so with renewed purpose – forming new partnerships, reaching more people, and empowering our employees to make a difference in the communities we serve.”
Service Month reflects Service Credit Union’s core values of community, connection, and compassion. The initiative not only amplified the credit union’s social impact but also sparked new relationships with local organizations and inspired continued volunteerism beyond the campaign.
Due to its success, Service Credit Union plans to make Service Month an annual tradition, while continuing to support its communities through year-round outreach, engagement, and giving.
