As part of the celebration, The Fresno Center presented EECU with a special plaque and meaningful Hmong necklace in appreciation of its dedication to advancing financial empowerment.
“At EECU, we believe financial empowerment is key to building stronger communities,” said Elizabeth J. Dooley, EECU president and CEO. “We’re honored to support The Fresno Center’s incredible work and to bring convenient access to financial services and education to the individuals and families they serve.”
During the event, Dooley announced that all employees of The Fresno Center are eligible for EECU membership. EECU will continue expanding access to financial education through specialized workshops designed for The Fresno Center’s employees and clients.
“Financial literacy is not just about dollars and centers — it’s about empowerment, education, wellness, and the ability to shape one’s future with confidence and clarity,” said Pao Yang, The Fresno Center president and CEO. “These efforts reflect our core values and our deep commitment to helping individuals and families thrive.”
The event also featured an open house of EECU’s Mobile Branch, which regularly visits The Fresno Center’s campus. The branch-on-wheels provides convenient banking access for employees, clients, and local residents.
EECU’s Mobile Branch plays a critical role in bridging financial services gaps by making it easier for people to manage their finances, gain financial knowledge, and receive personalized assistance.
