HAEFCU Announces "Ca$h for the Classroom" Recipients
September 23, 2025

Huron Area Education FCU
The Huron Area Education Federal Credit Union was formed in 1952 by a group of educators looking to provide a better financial option for their co-workers. In doing so they created a financial institution that understands the needs of educators. That philosophy still holds true today. In fact, our Board of Directors and staff are all current or former school employees or have family members that are. We understand the needs of our members because we are just like you!
We are pleased to announce the winners of our Fall semester “Ca$h for the Classroom” drawing.

Manager Kristen Jurgens is pictured presenting the funds to Stacey Westby (left) and Danielle Kohlmeyer (right).
The two credit union members who each won $200 to purchase supplies for their classroom were Stacey Westby, a 2nd Grade Special Education teacher at Madison 2-3 Center in Huron, and Danielle Kohlmeyer, a 7–12 Grade English teacher in the Woonsocket School District.
We understand the needs that our educators have in providing the necessary materials for their students and are honored to be able to assist in this way. Over the past 11 years, we have had the privilege of helping 46 educators purchase the “extras” for their classroom.
