FRESNO, Calif. (Oct. 22, 2025) – Educational Employees Credit Union (EECU) partnered with the Tulare County Office of Education to celebrate the county’s top educators at the 2025 Excellence in Education Awards Recognition Breakfast held on October 22.

annual event, which honored 34 exceptional educators who make a difference in
the lives of students and families throughout Tulare County. The honorees were
nominated by their peers from across the county, and the top candidates were
selected by a committee as:
• School Employee of the Year – Joanna Woodyatt,
Registered Behavior Technician at Rocky Hill Elementary School, Exeter Unified
School District
• Administrator/Manager of the Year – Andrew
Woodley, Director of Curriculum and Instruction, Porterville Unified School
District
• Teacher of the Year – Heather Silva, Eighth-Grade
Teacher at Alpine Vista School, Tulare City School District

President and CEO Elizabeth J. Dooley co-hosted the breakfast with Tulare
County Superintendent of Schools Tim A. Hire. This long-standing partnership is
one of the many ways EECU supports educators and families in the communities it
serves.

creativity, and commitment to helping students succeed inspires us all. EECU is
honored to recognize their outstanding work and to partner with the Tulare
County Office of Education in celebrating those who make such a meaningful
impact every day.”
The Tulare County Excellence in
Education Awards ceremony is one of six annual countywide events EECU sponsors
each year to recognize and support exemplary educators and school staff
