FRESNO, Calif. (Jan. 16, 2026) – Educational Employees Credit Union (EECU) is proud to sponsor the 42nd Annual Commemoration celebrating the life, legacy, and lasting impact of Martin Luther King Jr.

The multi-day community celebration takes place throughout Fresno and Clovis during the holiday weekend, starting with a garlanding ceremony at Courthouse Park on January 16 and culminating with a commemoration program and community awards ceremony at the Veterans Memorial Auditorium on January 19.
For more than four decades, the City of Fresno Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Unity Committee has hosted this community-wide celebration to reflect on King’s legacy. EECU’s sponsorship supports the committee’s efforts to provide these events that unite the community around shared values.
