The annual event shined a spotlight on the individuals who help shape the future of Kings County students, from classroom teachers and school leaders to the many staff members who support student success behind the scenes.
EECU President and CEO Elizabeth J. Dooley joined county education leaders, including Kings County Superintendent of Schools Todd Barlow, in recognizing the honorees representing all 13 school districts.
“Our educators and school staff are at the center of every student success story,” Dooley said. “We’re proud to partner with the Kings County Office of Education to recognize the people whose commitment, care, and leadership make a lasting difference in our schools and communities.”
Honorees were nominated by their peers and selected for their dedication to their students, leadership within their schools, and exceptional contributions to education.
“This event is an opportunity to recognize the incredible dedication and talent we have across Kings County schools,” Barlow said. “Our educators and staff work hard every day to support students and we’re proud to celebrate their impact on our communities.”
The Excellence in Education awards program remains a valued tradition in Kings County and is one of six annual county events sponsored by EECU that highlights exemplary educators and school staff.
