organization, competed against other community volunteers to earn “Mayor of JA
Town” for the night. Supporters donated $5 to Junior Achievement to vote for
their candidate. The Junior Achievement Night on the Town event
raised $18,200 to benefit over 1,100 students in DuPage County, smashing the
goal of $8,000 to become the most successful event on record.

Achievement and hosting future events to help students build strong financial
skills and confidence in money management. Since its inception, the Credit
Union’s strong ties to the community have fostered collaborative partnerships
with local school districts, businesses, and charities.
“George
sees potential in young people and understands the impact mentorship and
financial education can have on their lives,” said Kenya Shettlesworth, DuPage

“In
the end, the winners were the students who will benefit from additional JA
programs and financial literacy,” said Caraballo.
