HUDSON VALLEY CREDIT UNION GIVES BACK(PACKS), DONATES TO UNITED WAY OF THE DUTCHESS-ORANGE REGION’S DRIVE

Hudson Valley Credit Union has been empowering our community's financial success for more than six decades.
Hudson Valley Credit Union donated 200 backpacks filled with essential school supplies to United Way of the Dutchess-Orange Region for the nonprofit’s annual back-to-school drive. The initiative, completed with the help of the credit union’s 2026 high school internship program participants, demonstrated not only the organization’s commitment to the communities it serves, but also its dedication to teaching the next generation the importance of giving back. Approximately 20 nonprofits partnering with United Way this school season will distribute the supplies to dozens of students and families across Dutchess and Orange County.
“United Way of the Dutchess-Orange Region's school supply drive helps ensure that local students start the academic year with the tools they need to learn and succeed,” said Jeannie Montano, President & CEO at United Way of the Dutchess-Orange Region.
“By providing essential supplies, we ease the financial burden on families and help create a stronger, more equitable community where every child has the opportunity to thrive. We are grateful to Hudson Valley Credit Union, whose support makes this effort possible. Together, we are helping local children begin the school year prepared and confident.”
HVCU regularly contributes to the Hudson Valley community through meaningful hands-on experiences and the HVCU Charitable Foundation’s annual grant program, which has distributed $1.1 million across New York since its inception in 2025.
