DuPage Credit Union members and team members recently donated 487 winter clothing items to help families in need throughout DuPage County. The Winter Clothing Drive was inspired in part by CU Kind Day, an annual nationwide celebration of community where credit unions demonstrate the power of “people helping people.” The DuPage Regional Office of Education, through the Parents as Teachers program, will distribute the donated items to families in need throughout the county.

“Thanks to the generosity of our members and team members, we delivered a van full of winter apparel to help keep local children warm this winter,” said George Carballo, Associate Director of Branches & Community Engagement. “We’re grateful to everyone who contributed and helped make this drive a success.”
The Parents as Teachers program, which works directly with at-risk families in DuPage County, welcomed the donations and the continued support of DuPage Credit Union.
“We really appreciate the Credit Union’s partnership and everything that they have done for the families and children that we serve throughout DuPage County,” said Rhonda Eubanks, Director of Parents as Teachers at DuPage Regional Office of Education.
