HAEFCU Announces "Ca$h for the Classroom" Recipients

May 2, 2022
Huron Area Education FCU

The Huron Area Education Federal Credit Union was formed in 1952 by a group of educators looking to provide a better financial option for their co-workers. In doing so they created a financial institution that understands the needs of educators. That philosophy still holds true today. In fact, our Board of Directors and staff are all current or former school employees or have family members that are. We understand the needs of our members because we are just like you!

Huron, SD - May 3 - 2022 - Huron Area Education Federal Credit Union (HAEFCU) has announced the winners of their spring semester “Ca$h for the Classroom” drawing. Two credit union members, both educators, each won $200 to purchase supplies for their classroom. Congratulations to:

Michelle Hotchkiss – teacher at Washington 4-5 Center

Kristi Winegar – teacher at Huron Middle School

HAEFCU understands the need that our educators have in providing necessary materials for their students and is honored to be able to assist in this way. The credit union has had the privilege of supporting educators for 70 years!

HAEFU holds this drawing twice each year, and the next drawing will be this fall. Educators in the counties of Beadle, Hand, Kingsbury, Sanborn and Spink who are members of the credit union are eligible and encouraged to contact HAEFCU and fill out a short application for their chance to get extra “Ca$h” for the Classroom.”
