Huron Area Education FCU Awards $2,000 in Scholarships

The Huron Area Education Federal Credit Union was formed in 1952 by a group of educators looking to provide a better financial option for their co-workers. In doing so they created a financial institution that understands the needs of educators. That philosophy still holds true today. In fact, our Board of Directors and staff are all current or former school employees or have family members that are. We understand the needs of our members because we are just like you!
Huron, SD - May 13, 2022 - The Huron Area Education Federal Credit Union Scholarship Committee is pleased to announce the recipients of six scholarships for the upcoming 2022-2023 academic year.
Recipients are all student members who were required to submit an application showing their school, community, and credit union involvement. This year’s winners are: Elizabeth Brandt; Brooklyn Boetel; Elizabeth Gilbert; Claudia Lemire, Katie Schoenfelder and Shelby VandenHoek.
Congratulations to these fine students who will be continuing their education with support from their local credit union!
