Fresno, CA – November 18, 2020 – Educational Employees Credit Union (EECU) based in Fresno, CA, recently recognized top Merced County educators.

            Beth Dooley, EECU president and CEO, praised the winners, finalists and nominees and applauded their dedication to students and their profession.

            “Their commitment to their students, their schools and the communities is remarkable. Congratulations to all of the honorees,” Dooley said.

            The winners were Samantha Johnston, Teacher of the Year; Maricela Perez, Employee of the Year; and Rhonda Sullivan, Administrator of the year.

            The awards program was a virtual event this year.

            The Merced County program is one of five annual county events sponsored by EECU that honors outstanding educators and school staff. EECU has 19 branches and serves more than 318,000 members in 12 Central California counties.
