SAN DIEGO, Calif., (November 30, 2020) -- San Diego County Credit Union® (SDCCU®), one of California’s largest credit unions, supported Rady Children's Hospital of San Diego and CHOC Children’s Hospital of Orange County this year with an online fundraising campaign throughout October. With both hospitals forced to cancel their in-person annual fundraising walks due to the pandemic, their need for donations and community support this year is even greater. SDCCU customers and the community were encouraged to make safe and secure donations online directly to each hospital, which raised a combined total of $1,000. Since 2015, SDCCU has raised a total of $30,000 for both hospitals. Donations are still being accepted online through the end of 2020 at sdccu.com/hospitals.

“SDCCU is proud to support two of Southern California’s finest children’s hospitals, especially during a year when we know the need for support is even greater,” said SDCCU President and CEO Teresa Campbell. “Many in our community have been impacted by the pandemic, so we appreciate the response we received to help make a difference in the lives of critically ill children.”

For the past several years, Team SDCCU has participated in the Rady Children’s Dream Big 5k Walk, as well as the CHOC Walk throughout Disneyland. The in-person walks were missed this year due to the pandemic, but Team SDCCU looks forward to the future walks, participating alongside other teams and the community to continue to support children and the amazing work of these hospitals.
